----- Blatherings----- Bloomington, Indiana is in all the news because of that Nazi who went on the killing spree (whom I've been reading about for months when I go to the Bloomington newspapers). More about Bloomington: "Reverend" Jim Jones of poisoned Kool-Aid fame went to I.U. Bloomington, and so did William and Emily Harris, the abductors of Patty Hearst in 1974. Legionnaires Disease was traced back from Philadelphia to there as its origin. The Dalai Lama's brother has lived there for many years and the Dalai Lama himself will visit Bloomington in August 1999...... When I went there so did Jane Pauley, Kevin Kline, Janie Fricke and Mark Spitz. 7-8-99......... 932pm Monday July 12, 1999. YCP. Got up at 8am to take my father to hospital. He had me wait until noon. Then they kept him there until 6pm. What a BORING day..... Tuesday 7-13-99:: Martin Library.. Tried to get some extra sleep to catch up on what I lost yesterday but workers in the street. Only got extra 20 minutes Now 1027am. Maybe catch the 11 am bus. No privacy here on 'Audrey 5' computer right in the middle of the floor. ... No longer a thermometer downtown. Feels like 90*............. Wed 7-21-99. 1230pm. Came here to York Fri 7-17-64 to Sat 8-1-64, 35 years ago this week. Today I went downtown at about 930am, walked down Market to Lincoln Hwy Garage for breakfast (ham/cheese omelet), then to what's left of Millers Petshop since they both died. Jeez, they were ancient. Then through Allen Field. Then over RR bridge and slid down to tracks underneath. Then straight out along tracks to other side of Hudson Park. Thru the park's edge where that little green covered bldg used to be. Thru the alley behind Richards old house. To next corner where Smitty and I would go to 12th grade. Then to Sherman. Then thru alleys I used to walk to Wagners down. Then along Philadelphia St. To that second-hand place to get that 1962 Whitman Rummy Royal game- but it was gone. Back up to Phila past the old "Empire" bldg to Duke. Then into town. Picked up a hundred at the bank. Now here.......... Mon Aug 2, 1999. Mopping all the floors over the weekend in preparation for getting homes for my fathers kittens. Have to get him to blooodtests this week. To Apple Hill physicians next week. Wash his clothes at laundromat this week. Wish I had really learned how to type in that 1962 course. These keyboards are too tiny for my long fingers. asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl;asdfjkl; mY gOd. The PAIN! My fingers cramp up and I get shooting pains under my wrists from my cramped up fingers trying to move...Wed 8-4-99 143pm. Left two hours late this morning and have to get home early as father is sick. Have to wash his clothes tonight as used last night for more mopping. Tried to rest at sidewalk table at McCrory's downtown but some guy who just moved to York sat at it. But he's okay as he is a fellow scientist/engineer. He worked on many of the things in science I was excited about in the late 50s/ early 60s. But he's now got a bad heart, takes six bottles of medicine daily to stay alive. Well, its science/ engineering that ruined him. Worked him to death just like everyone else. Too much damn pressure to succeed when everyone else has a normal life. Tonight I wash fathers clothes and tomorrow its off to hospital for blood tests. Plus he's in pain so they have to check that.
